Today we had ELA. Then we had P.E. In P.E. we continued Fire, thunder, lightning. Then we had Technology. In Technology we continued building our bridge. Then we had math. In math Mr. Eckert introduced fractions by reading us a book about fractions, and apples too. Then we had lunch. To finish the day we had science.

Are you supposed to type in your link or highlight it and paste it.

We highlight it then paste it!

Thank you

Two times when I would us fractions in real life are:

1. When my older or younger brother has a cookie or something and I want some of it I would say: “Can I have a quarter of that?” ( They can be kind of stubborn with sharing food so I don’t ask for half)

2. I also use fractions when cooking. For example: When you add *1 half of a cup*

of flour to your mix.

We use fractions for measurements, cooking, splitting things up (dividing) and sports (you split the game into 2 halfs or 4 quarters).

Good idea AJ!

I use fractions when reading. My mom or dad might want me to go to bed and I will say, “Hold on, let me finish this page. Only a quarter of a page left.”

We use fractions when we are fighting over candy! I give 1/3 to one of my brothers. Then my other brother and I get the same amount.

A good site for anything in China is what I used, http://www.easytourchina.com. It is ran by a team of professional travel specialists at Guilin Oversea Tourist Corporation they also own 4 other websites. I can’t find when it was updated but it was somewhere between 1999 and 2012.

The website I found is http://www.spaceneedle.com/discover/funfacts.html.

We use measurements for cooking when the recipe says (for an example) chop two cups of onions and one cup of celery.

I don’t know why the comment did that.

You would use fractions when you have one apple and there are five people. You can cut it into five pieces or into fifths.

When I cook with my mom I use fractions to use the right amount.
